Chinese PC maker Lenovo debuted its server brand Wentian Wednesday. Lenovo’s first Wentian model will be the GB5520V3.
Bai Peng, vice president of Lenovo, said Wentian servers are mounted exclusively with domestic-made parts. The GB5520V3 is compatible with most mainstream software worldwide, while meeting the demands of China’s national security considerations.
By 2025, China’s server market is expected to reach US$42 billion (290 billion yuan), with huge potential for Lenovo.
