随着中国国力不断增强、海外影响力上升，中国两会的媒体关注度越来越高，外媒对这一盛事的称呼也渐渐“入乡随俗”。

“两会”的英文全称是the annual sessions of the National People's Congress （NPC） and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference （CPPCC），外媒往往将其简称为Two Sessions。

早在2018年，有的英文媒体在报道中国两会时，就开始直接使用它的汉语拼音“lianghui”。今年3月1日，彭博社的报道说：Together， they're known as the Lianghui， or “Two Sessions.”值得注意的是，彭博社不仅使用了“两会”的汉语拼音，而且把首字母大写，俨然把它当作了一个专有名词。

英文维基百科网站的“Two Sessions”词条也特别提到它的汉语拼音：The Two Sessions （NPC & CPPCC National Committee annual sessions）， or in Chinese Lianghui is a common Mandarin Chinese abbreviation for a pair of organizations which have close relations.

汉语拼音是中国官方颁布并得到国际普遍承认的汉字拼写方案，英文报道对两会的表述变迁反映出全球持续升温的“中文热”，与中华文化的国际影响力日益增强密不可分。（何金娥）
