Beneath

▌“Beneath”比“under”更正式，例如：

▌“beneath”也有被某物“覆盖”（being covered）的意思：

B: It was underneath the sofa.

B:就在沙发下面。

Think of "underneath" as a more emotional, exciting version of "under".
