Evidence = something (information, a sign, etc) that shows something is true. However, evidence can be weak or strong.

evidence（证据）=表明某事正确的事物(信息，迹象等)。然而，evidence可以是微弱的，也可以是强有力的。

Proof = enough evidence/ sufficient evidence. If you have proof then you can prove something is true, without any doubt.proof=足够的证据/充分的证据。如果你有proof，你就可以毫无疑问地证明某事是正确的。

Ex: The detective found some evidence that suggested the man might be guilty, but he could not be sure.

侦探发现了一些证据，表明这个人可能有罪，但他不能肯定。

-VS-Ex: The detective found proof that the man was guilty, and so he sent him to jail.

侦探找到了那个人有罪的证据，所以把他送进了监狱。
