2014年9月30日微软在美国旧金山举办发布会正式宣布Windows 10系统，而在这场发布会召开前没人知道微软要发布的是Windows 10而不是Windows 9系统。

蓝点网至今仍记得在发布会上微软宣布Windows 10时，百度贴吧Windows 9吧里一片哀嚎，因为大家都刷了很久的经验了没想到Windows 9吧突然没用了，又得赶紧跑到隔壁Windows 10吧刷经验。

当天晚上蓝点网则是把之前所有介绍Windows 9的文章全部拖出来改成Windows 10，不过文章数量有点多以至于到现在还能在蓝点网搜到Windows 9的内容。

而Windows 10和Windows 9并没有任何不同，按前微软副总裁特里梅尔森的说法，把Windows 9改成Windows 10是微软希望为大家提供一个全新的操作系统。微软有这种想法毫不奇怪，因为Windows 8饱受批评且采用率极低，直接跳过Windows 9发布Windows 10也是微软希望以此传达纠正错误的决心吧。

但现在看来微软决定将Windows 9改成Windows 10，应该有很多微软员工都不知道，以至于到现在Windows 11系统里还留着有关Windows 9的代码注释。

 

从Windows 10到Windows 11：

在发布Windows 10的时候微软推出Windows Insider计划并允许所有用户直接参与Windows 10的开发过程，这是此前微软从没做过的事，相反微软以前对新版本都是保密的。在2011年微软尚未发布Windows 8正式版，但镜像泄露后蓝点网也第一时间安装，结果还翻车了。

Windows 10首个技术预览版是Build 9860，此版本发布于2014年10月1日，仅在14天后就有超过100万人安装。（PS：现在Windows Insider用户数约在1300万左右，前些年高峰时可能超过2000万）

 

而在上周微软已经推出Windows 11 Dev Build 22567版，从Windows 10 Build 9860到Windows 11 Build 22567版，系统里有个文件都没有变更过，这个文件就提到Windows 9系统。

实际上从注释来看应该从Build 9845版开始，不过这个版本是内部版本并未公开发布，在注释里微软工程师写到：9845是对构建版本的猜测，当它到达main（主线）时，后续版本将使用正确的CommandPrompt.man。

这个文件应该是用来收集系统信息的，但到现在还保留着Windows 9的注释说明8年过去了微软都从来没有动过这个文件，否则有关Windows 9的注释应该早就删了吧。
